Q: What is a vacation rental?

A: The term “vacation rental” refers to a luxury property, such as a house or condo. Vacation rentals are a perfect place for you to retreat after a day of sightseeing, playing at the beach, or going on an adventure. Vacation rentals are filled with amenities and offer the dream beachfront or mountain views you always wanted. Rent a vacation rental and enjoy the GOOD LIFE.

Q: Why rent a private residence instead of a hotel?

A: A private residence offers a more unique, individualized and private experience than most hotels. And…private residences are usually cheaper than hotels, too!

Q: Who should rent a private villa?

A: You! Families! Groups of friends! Anyone wanting to share a vacation TOGETHER instead of being separated into different hotel rooms is perfect for a villa rental.

Q: What services and amenities are included in a villa rental?

A: We personally inspect each luxury rental and amenities. Each property has a detailed list of amenities and accommodations included with the rental. We also have photos and a thorough description of each property for your convenience.

Q: How much does a villa rental cost?

A: Less than you would expect. A weekly villa rental is about the same price as a comparable four star hotel. If you have lots of people, the villa rental is often much cheaper than a hotel since you can share a kitchen, living room and other common areas (features not available in a standard hotel room).

Q: I get privacy AND it’s cheaper than a hotel?!?! What’s the catch?

A: No catch. :) Vacation rentals is THE WAY to travel in destinations where hotels are not readily available. Put your feet up and enjoy the GOOD LIFE.

Q: What is the required length of stay?

A: Minimum stay requirements vary from property to property. Each property will show its minimum stay requirement on its own page (if there are any requirements).

Q: How do I inquire about a property I am interested in?

A: Click on the property you are interested in, along with the dates, special requests or questions you have about the property. The Good Life Retreats team will get back to you in 24 hours to let you know if your property is available. If the property is booked for those days, we will work together to find another suitable property in the same price range or another date that works for you!

Q: Do I have to pay a security deposit when I rent?

A: In general, nightly weekly rentals do not require a security deposit. However, monthly rentals or certain properties may require an security deposit.

Q: What is your deposit and cancellation policy?

A: A deposit of 50% of the total balance is due at the time of reservation. The remainder of the payment is due 90 days before the check-in date. The total amount of the rental is due upfront if the rental is made within 90 days of the check-in date. Your vacation rental will be reserved after we receive payment.
